Day 17
I love two year children. When they want help they ask. If they want anything they ask. They do not consider whether the request is reasonable or appropriate. They do not wonder if they are being too much of a bother. If you say no, they just ask again, and again, and again. They go for what they want without reason or judgment. They have not learned fear and they have unlimited faith.
As we grow up we start worrying about being acceptable. We become more reasonable. We stop asking for what we want. We do not reach out as much for help. I wonder what would happen if we lived life unreasonably expecting help. What would happen if we woke up today and asked for what we really wanted?
"God I want to cure cancer. Help me.” “God I want to find the love of my life. Help me.” “God I want to go to college. Help Me.” “God I want the right and perfect career for me. Help me.”
How would our lives be different if we had the courage of a two year old to ask for what we want again, and again, and again? What is we unreasonably believed that God IS our help and our only limit was our unlimited faith.
Verse for This WeekIsaiah 41;13
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.
Word
Help
Today as I go to silence, I will rest in the fact that God is my help and I am unreasonably unlimited.
