Day 18
I like rain. Everything seems so clean and refreshed after a gentle shower. I used to live in the country. I had a big window in my living room and I loved to watch the storms roll through. I could see lightning hitting the ground or miles around in a spectacular light show. Living in town, it is harder to experience the majestic grandeur of nature.
Though clouds may temporarily block the sun, the sun always comes out again. Nature is so awesome. I am awed by the number of things that had to come together to create life on our planet.
Even though we can experience nature as chaotic, especially as seasons change, every day the sun comes up and goes down and the earth moves in its cycle around the earth. Every year winter flows into spring and spring to summer and summer to fall predictably just as was celebrated in Ecclesiastes thousands of years ago.
Verse for This WeekEcclesiastes 3:11
[We can be fearless knowing] . . . He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Word Cycles
Today I will understand that life moves in cycles and I can move smoothly through them trusting that the universe moves in God’s order according to spiritual principles.
